Detail by owner
I purchased this Land Cruiser in 2012 with the idea of restoring & keeping. I have bought and sold a number of Toyota FJ40's and the wagon series FJ60 & FJ62's over the years, personally owning some like this one and some I have re sold having been a dealer in Arizona since 1989. Like many people, Land Cruiser's hold a special draw for me and are a bit of a hobby. The next owner of this truck will more than likely have an interest in my part of this truck's story & if you don't, oh well.
In 2015 I had the engine torn down and rebuilt, doing much more than what was required. I have had a commercial truck repair shop for the last 10+ years so this was done as a side project when we had time.
In 2016 I purchased another 1988 Land Cruiser for the engine to go into a 1973 Toyota FJ40 I am working on as a fuel injected upgrade. When I got this donor truck the interior was much nicer than mine so I swapped it out along with other parts & pieces to make a greatest hits version of the 2.
At this point this is a very nice truck. Not without things that could be done or a history of 29 years but I have not seen many of these trucks advertised that have had as much done mechanically to them as this one. The cd player & power antennae are not working and the roof needs further detailing at this time. Tires have plenty of tread but certainly are not what most people put on these trucks.
